I have been fortunate to have taken several vacations in the state over the last 15 years and I can hopefully give you some advice about the things I have learned.

A focus of this site is for family vacations because that is what I have experienced with my wife and 5 and 3 year old boys. While here you will also find information on golf vacations, outdoor vacations, and many of the attractions that are located here.

With beautiful views form the Smoky Mountains to the music history of Nashville and everything in between. I will give you information that will help you decide the best vacation for you.

I will go through some of the most well known places in Tennessee and give you my opinion on some of the fun things to do while you are there. Some of the places we will look at are Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Nashville, the Smoky Mountains, and Chattanooga. I will continue to add places as the site continues.

A great option for a golfing is in Crossville. You may not think golfing is the best for a family, but before we had kids I loved to play golf. This is a way for me to hope I can get back to playing with them when they get older. So don't be surprised if you see a mention of golfing in each area.

My personal favorite for fun Tennessee vacations is Pigeon Forge. It is in eastern part of the state near the Smoky Mountains. Within 15 minutes to the north or south there are numerous attractions, theatres, restaurants, and shopping opportunities that can be enjoyed by every member of the family. If you have small kids, big kids, or no kids, you will have a great time in Pigeon Forge.
